later that month i realized that winter was'nt so bad after all. especially when i saw snow fall for the first time in my tropical life. i loved waching snow fall specially at dawn. Our company was located a few minutes bus ride from Yong-in Everland. so we go there once a month. It was a large amusement park carved on a mountainside(well, sort of) anyway it was so huge that a day wo'nt be enough to visit evey ride and shows and gardens and animals or just sit and relax and enjoy the place. i really liked to go back there with my family. i can only visit there now through google earth(sigh)

korean experience

i came to korea on a cold november day of 1993 . i remembered that day clearly as i came out of the terminal door wearing a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt( back then it was the warmest clothes i own),i was shocked by the sudden wave of cold air penetrating to my bones that i almost ran back inside the warm airport lobby. I did a quick mental accounting of my belongings. damn, i thought, all the clothes i own would'nt keep me warm , and its not even the coldest month as i was later told. but then, the warm gestures of our korean hosts compensated for the coldness of the weather. they offered us hot coffee and jackets. they were very accomodating even if i didnt understand what they were saying back then.
